Concrete Types
Lightweight Concrete
Is similar to normal weight concrete except that it has a lower density. It is made of with lightweight aggregates and commonly used in bridge decks and slabs on deck.
Roller Compacted (RCC) Concrete
A lean, no-slump, almost dry concrete that is compacted in place by vibratory roller or plate compaction equipment. RCC is placed in a manner similar to paving.
Pervious Concrete
A special type of concrete with a high porosity used for concrete flatwork applications that allows water to pass directly through, thereby reducing the runoff from a site.
Flowable Fill
Flowable fill is a self-compacting low strength material with a flowable consistency that is used as an economical fill or backfill material as an alternative to compacted granular fill.
High Strength Concrete
Concrete with specified compressive strengths greater than 6000 PSI. Generally specified where reduced weight is important or where small support element are required. Applications include dams, footings, parking garages and high rise buildings.
Colored Concrete
Produced by using colored pigments or color aggregates as requested by the customer. Colored concrete is mixed in the barrel and poured on site. Color charts are available upon request.
Stamped Concrete
Patterned or textured embossed to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, tile, wood and various other patterns and textures. Stamped concrete is used for patios, sidewalks, driveways, pool decks and interior flooring.
Decorative Concrete
As a versatile product, concrete can be used as a decorative overlay, polished floor, fireplaces and countertop.
Exposed Aggregate Concrete
A type of finish that provides a rugged, attractive surface in a wide range of textures and colors. Exposed Aggregate Concrete is used with Cranesville Natural Pea Stone.
Rapid Set Concrete
Used when specifications require a defined compressive strength in a time frame which can be as little as three hours. Ideally used for highway pavement and industrial warehouse floor repair, where reducing downtime is crucial.
